Biological
systems are
maintained
through
numerous
interactions
spanning broad
spectrum of
time and
length scales.
Exploring the
systems at
different
scales with
theoretical/computational
tools we try
to learn how
unique
properties of
the system
involving
biological
functions
emerge from
individual
processes. Our
primary
research
interest is in
understanding
how the
interactions
between
self-organized
biopolymers
contribute to
the emergence
of life at
nonequilibrium
in which
energy is
continuously
injected and
dissipated out
of the system.
